How often do we find ourselves in situations where we are staring into the scriptures wondering what they mean? We know that the words of Jesus are words of life… words of guidance, words of comfort, words of hope. We also know that the words of Jesus are supposed to be the foundation for our lives and our ministries. And yet, so often we struggle to understand, and like the person in the story above, we need someone to come alongside and teach us. But what if we did understand… not only for our own benefit but also so that we could teach others!
Through the Bible Core Course at YWAM Chico you will gain an overview of the whole Bible while taking a deep dive into several books from both the Old and New Testaments. By the time you finish you will understand the great story of the Bible and how the individual pieces fit into the big picture. Your in-depth study will take you into all the major types of writing in the Bible and give you the tools for a lifetime of further learning. No matter where you go, or what you choose to do with your life, you will be grateful for the solid biblical foundation you received from this intensive three months in the word of God. Join us for this YWAM BCC and watch the Word of God come to life.
Ultimately, time spent in the Bible should lead to greater intimacy with the Lord and a transformed life.

Chico is a university city in Northern California. It is about 2 hours north of Sacramento and less than 90 minutes South of Redding.
The YWAM campus is one of the largest properties in YWAM (500 acres) and lies in a small canyon in the hills outside Chico. Once upon a time it was a mineral springs resort built around a historic 7 story brick hotel, which transitioned in the 1960s into a revival center for the Body of Christ. In addition to the many buildings, there are mineral springs, an Olympic-size swimming pool, hiking trails, waterfalls and many great opportunities for community life as well as solitude.
If you enjoy wildlife and the great outdoors, you will love it here. Check out this overview of the landscape.
