YWAM BCC Content:

Ultimately, time spent in the Bible should lead to greater intimacy with the Lord and a transformed life.

Bible reading as a group through the Old and New testaments is a regular part of the weekly rhythm.
This will give you a great overview of the whole biblical story and show you how the pieces fit together and form a grand narrative.
You will study Genesis, 1 & 2 Kings, Isaiah, Jonah, Gospel of John, Acts, Romans, James, 1 Peter, Hebrews & Revelation
The Bible is made up of several types of literature (letters, parables, poetry, etc.) and each type of literature is approached differently.  You will do in depth study of some of each type so that you will be able to do further studies on your own later .

Where is Chico and what is the campus like?

Chico is a university city in Northern California.  It is about 2 hours north of Sacramento and less than 90 minutes South of Redding.

The YWAM campus is one of the largest properties in YWAM (500 acres) and lies in a small canyon in the hills outside Chico.  Once upon a time it was a mineral springs resort built around a historic 7 story brick hotel, which transitioned in the 1960s into a revival center for the Body of Christ. In addition to the many buildings, there are mineral springs, an Olympic-size swimming pool, hiking trails, waterfalls and many great opportunities for community life as well as solitude.

If you enjoy wildlife and the great outdoors, you will love it here.  Check out this overview of the landscape.
