Family Ministry

Family Ministries at YWAM Chico desires to Encourage, Equip & Empower Families. Our ministry encompasses staff families, student families, and families in Chico, in California, and internationally. We want to equip families to minister together, including their kids in decisions, in ministry, and in hearing the Holy Spirit.  Our hope is to cultivate a hunger within all members of the family for the Word of God and the moving of the Spirit. 

Family Ministries wants to cultivate a culture of adoptive spirit, where all are included and loved and accepted – there is room at the table for everyone.   This involves creating a safe environment to speak into each other’s lives, always pointing each other to Jesus – “iron sharpens iron” relationship. 

Mission Builders have played a major role in making the YWAM Chico campus what it is today. They serve our campus in many ways, assisting with everything from carpentry and maintenance to food services, groundskeeping and secretarial work. Many of these wonderful volunteers come year after year because they’ve found it’s a challenging and spiritually refreshing experience — and a great way to make new friends from around the world.
